Whilst completing his Honours degree in 2013, Chris started the RAD Centre from his backyard single-car garage in Mount Clear, before moving to RAD 2.0 in Redan, RAD 3.0 in Wendouree and now RAD 4.0 at Selkirk Stadium. Chris has spent time working with elite athletes from the AFL, VFL, WNBL, NBL1, NAB League and Netball Victoria. Outside of RAD he’s with his wife, two kids and their dog Jimmy.

Physiotherapist

Shane has over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist working in clinics across Ballarat and joined RAD while completing his internship in strength and conditioning in 2022. He has a particular interest in hamstring strain injuries, lower limb rehabilitation and return to sport, and enjoys taking athletes from the treatment table to the gym floor and beyond.

Sports Physiotherapist

Holly is an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with Master’s qualifications, currently also a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist with the Western Bulldogs AFLW. She has worked within the VFL, State Academy programs and the Coates Talent League, and spent time at the United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Keen interest in lower limb injuries, load-related conditions and adolescent rehabilitation.

Caitlin completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science before pursuing physiotherapy, working in private practice in Ballarat before moving to RAD in 2024. She has completed her Masters of Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy and ASCA Level 1, and also works with the GWV Rebels Coates Talent League team. Interest in lower limb injuries, particularly the knee and ankle.

Caitlin completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at ACU and has a keen interest in injury prevention, rehabilitation and helping people return to the activities they love. She has worked with Basketball Victoria, Masters Hockey and the GWV Rebels, and completed her ASCA Level 1 accreditation. Outside RAD she runs, does Pilates and plays netball for Redan.

S&C Coach

Sarah began at RAD as a placement student while completing her Bachelor of Exercise & Sport Science at Deakin, moving into full-time employment at the start of 2022. An elite dancer, she spent 15 years specialising in ballet and contemporary. Sarah has a strong interest in optimising movement and training for performance across all athletes and is completing her Masters of Strength and Conditioning.

Head of Performance & Education

Originally from Warrnambool, Tim relocated to Ballarat for his studies and began working at RAD in 2017 while completing his Masters in Strength and Conditioning. Tim has been High-Performance Manager at the GWV Rebels and has spent time with the Melbourne Storm, Victorian Men’s Cricket Team and Ballarat City FC. He is very particular in how he coaches, so every athlete gets the most out of their time at RAD.

S&C Coach

Isaac began at RAD in 2019 as part of the internship program while completing his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science at Federation University, and has since completed his Masters of Strength and Conditioning at La Trobe. He is currently High-Performance Manager for the GWV Rebels Coates League Boys team and the Vic Country U/16 state academy squad.

Maddy completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology in Canada before moving to Ballarat for a Masters of Strength and Conditioning. She worked as an S&C coach at a physio and performance centre for four years before returning to Ballarat to begin her PhD researching ACL rehabilitation. She has a background in basketball, playing and coaching, over the last 20 years.

Mel completed her Master of Dietetics before working across hospital and sports nutrition roles, including three years as dietitian for Coburg VFL. Since moving to Ballarat she has worked at Ballarat Base Hospital and consulted at Ballarat Surgical. Keen interest in performance nutrition, from weekend athletes to those chasing elite performance.
